In partnership with the famous oenologist and priest, Hans Denk, Zalto has developed during 5 years
a new range, technically unique and in complete rupture with existing standards.
His name : The Zalto Denk'Art Collection

Despite its feather-light weight and delicate edges, the glasses maintains all thebest attributes of a modern glass as far as care and longevity are concerned. They are submitted during a 24 hour period after production to a cooling at 1000 ° C. This process makes them elastic and less sensitive to breakage that the glasses cooled faster. They are thus adapted to a daily use at dishwasher. |
The tradition of using only the most highly skilled glass-blowers is reflected in the fi neness of each Zalto glass. It echoes the delicate virtuosity of the great Venetian glass artists of the Renaissance. Blowers use crystal, the strongest material. Zalto crystal glass, lead free, preserves its sparkling shine and resists against clouding. |
The development of the Denk’Art series was as influenced by the earth as by the universe beyond. The curve of the bowls are tilted at the angles of 24°, 48° and 72°, which are in accordance to the tilt angles of the earth. It is written that the ancient Romans had already noticed that these angles demonstrated excellent properties in the construction of containers and preservation of food. Due to these cosmic parallels, the Zalto house believe that a wine can reach its utmost potential in their glass, developing everything that is possible in the nose as well as on the palate. |
